The impact of the recent earthquake in Kumamoto

The confirmed situation as of 09:00 April 18, 2016.

We have a PVOH plant in Uto city, Kumamoto prefecture.

This plant has been under annual shutdown maintenance since March.

We regret having to inform you the plant was damaged by the earthquake on April 16, but as yet we cannot confirm the exact damage. We are not able to approach the site to investigate yet due to ongoing aftershocks. We are also facing logistics difficulties at this time.

We will publish further updates once more information becomes available.

The affected products are Gohsenol, Gohsenx, and Nichigo G-Polymer.
